Abstract
The given article considers the Cossack life style of Irkutsk Cossack Army on the example of\nKrestovozdvizhenskaya community. The author analyses the educational process in Cossack villages,\nCossack day-to-day life and military service. The author presents the main stages of Cossack\nparticipation in the Revolution and the Civil war in Siberia. The process of turning Cossacks into\npeasants is also revealed. The article also contains a brief description of modern state of Cossack\nvillages.
