Abstract
Los diseños definitivos de un puente peatonal colgante sobre el río daule, ubicado en la ciudad de daule, provincia del guayas. Debido a la carencia de una rápida comunicación entre la ciudad de daule y el recinto arenal, se justifica el planteamiento del proyecto. Se realizó un reconocimiento del lugar para determinar el sitio ideal para la ubicación del puente. Se propusieron tres alternativas de tipos de puente que consisten en; puente colgante, puente en arco y puente con vigas y losa. se establecieron ocho factores de selección para diferentes tipos de puentes, se analizó cada factor en cada una de las alternativas en base a investigaciones realizadas. Se eligió la alternativa de puente colgante para la realización del proyecto. Una vez elegido el tipo de puente más viable, se procedió a diseñar todos los elementos que componen la estructura, basándonos en las normas y códigos establecidos en los diseños de puentes.
