Con el objetivo de aproximarnos al mundo laboral, simbólico de los vendedores ambulantes, se realizaron cuatro entrevistas en profundidad para conocer tanto del mundo objetivo como subjetivo de vendedores ambulantes. El contacto con el primer entrevistado, un músico de la Línea Mitre, se llevó a cabo a través de un trabajador social de la Parroquia Corazón de María del barrio de Constitución. El primer entrevistado, Quique, facilitó el contacto con el resto de los entrevistados. El total de los entrevistados son varones: Alberto de 49 años, Quique de 33 años, Pato de 38 años y Gonzalo de 23 años. El trabajo de campo se realizó entre mayo y septiembre del presente año.
