Denne oppgaven behandler seks av Eivind Berggravs artikler fra tidsskriftet "Kirke og Kultur" i årene fra 1933 til 1941: 1) "Det tyske hasardspill - og kirken" (1933), 2) "Arresterte prester - det dramatiske og det prinsipielle i tysk kirkekamp idag" (1935), 3) "Visjonen" (1939), 4) "Martin Niemöller - person og symbol" (1939), 5) "Krigens lov" (1940) og 6) "Religion og rett" (1941). \nEn syvende artikkel: "Når kusken er gal - Luther om plikten til ulydighet" er identisk med det foredrag som Eivind Berggrav holdt på en rekke preste- og menighetsmøter fra Vestfold i sør til Trøndelag i nord våren 1941. Foredraget ble utgitt som artikkel i Berggravs bok "Staten og mennesket" i 1945, men hører naturlig sammen med de seks øvrige artikler, idet Eivind Berggrav i denne artikkelsamlingen tar for seg nazismen i Tyskland og Norge i perioden 1933-1941.\nFor hver av artiklene gis et bakgrunnsmateriale samt en analyse av artikelens innhold.
