Abstract
La present obra té per objectiu particularitzar i parangonar el sistema arxivístic de la província del Quebec, al Canadà, i el sistema arxivístic de Catalunya. De cascun, se n'analitzen els òrgans directors i consultius, quins centres en formen part i si hi ha una xarxa de centres, els lligams que hi ha entre els diferents arxius i la reglamentació en matèria d’arxius. També s'hi estudia la política de gestió documental a les etapes del cicle de vida dels documents i aspectes com ara el personal i la política envers els arxius privats.\nHom dedica un capítol propedèutic a definir què és un sistema arxivístic, explanar quins són els seus elements constitutius i els models que hi ha. Encontinent, es descriu el sistema arxivístic de Catalunya i el del Quebec.
