Abstract
Typologically speaking, Inuit language (Eskaleut family) is notoriously polysynthetic both at the level of the proposition and in its highly motivated lexicon. Many lexical entries can be easily segmented, and a single root can be the base for a variety of lexical units with quite divergent denotations. Phonetic change in Tunumiisut, the eastern Greenlandic dialect, has nevertheless helped to render the structure of some lexical items opaque. The analyzable lexical items are the main entries, with the terms derived from them as subentries. Lastly, there is a list of the affixes attested in the corpus. The data are the result of a synchronic analysis based on recent fieldwork. A list to lexical entries and affixes is provided in both English and Danish.
