Abstract
Bu tezin amacı ‘Geleneksel Gaziantep evlerinde gün ışığının mekâna yansımasını değerlendirip günümüz konut tasarımlarına örnek oluşturmaktır. Bu araştırma kapsamında ‘Işığın mimarlıktaki önemi’ geleneksel konut üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde araştırmanın amacı, problemi, varsayımlar, sınırlılıklar ve araştırmada kullanılan yöntem açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde Geleneksel Türk evinde aydınlatma, doğal aydınlatmanın ve yapay aydınlatmanın genel tanımı, aydınlatma konusunun amacı, gelişim süreci ve Gaziantep’te kullanılan yapay aydınlatma türleri incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise Gaziantep’in genel özellikleri, geleneksel Gaziantep dokusu ve evlerinin mimari özellikleri araştırılmış Türk evini tanımı yapılmış daha sonra tipolojik değerlere değinilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde de Gaziantep Bey Mahallesi ve tarihi evleri genel cephe düzeni, avlu cepheleri, sokak cepheleri, yapım sistemleri ve malzeme türü incelenmiştir. Beşinci bölümde de çalışma alanı kapsamındaki Bey Konağı ve Aynur Hanım Konağının doğal aydınlatma açısından analizi yapılıp altıncı bölümde değerlendirme, sonuç ve öneriler kısmına yer verilmiştir.
