Abstract
Markkinointitoiminnoilla yritys pyrkii lisäämään kiinnostavuuttaan asiakkaiden silmissä ja luomaan positiivista kuvaa toiminnastaan. Yrityksen lähtökohtana on tuottaa omistajilleen voittoa, ja markkinointi on yksi avain tässä tavoitteessa. Opinnäytetyöni lähtökohtana oli selvittää missä Kalajoella toimiva hotelli Fontana Rantakalla on mainostanut ja markkinoinut toimintaansa. Hotellinjohtaja Sisko Konun pyynnöstä tutkin Fontana Rantakallan laskuja, joista selvisi mihin yritys oli laittanut mainoksia ja mihin markkinointiin tarkoitettua rahaa on käytetty. Tavoitteena oli myös kehittää Fontana Rantakallan markkinointitoimintoja ja löytää uusia ideoita yrityksen kehittämiseksi. Kehitysideoita miettiessäni olen käyttänyt hyväkseni myös Fontana Rantakallassa tekemääni työharjoittelua. Olen jakanut työn kahteen osaan. Työn alkuosassa olen käsitellyt kirjallisuuden pohjalta markkinointia ja sen suunnittelua. Olen ottanut erikseen huomioon myös palveluiden markkinoinnin, koska se eroaa hieman konkreettisten tuotteiden markkinoinnista. Työn loppuosassa olen esitellyt Fontana Rantakallan markkinointia ja miettinyt kehittämiskohteita. Esittämäni parannusehdotukset parantaisivat mielestäni Fontana Rantakallan yrityskuvaa.
