I denna rapport presenteras resultat från hastighetsundersökning för motorcykel (mc) år 2014. Årets undersökning har genomförts på samma sätt som 2013 års hastighetsundersökning. Båda undersökningarna genomfördes under perioden maj till september. På 267 mätplatser runtom i Sverige har hastighetsmätningar genomförts. Varje mätplats har mätts under ett dygn. Samma mätplatser mättes även i hastighetsmätningen år 2012. I 2012 års undersökning, vilken var betydligt större än 2013 och 2014 års undersökningar, skattades hastighetsnivåer för olika fordonsklasser. 2013 och 2014 års undersökningar är dock inte en förlängning av 2012 års hastighetsundersökning utan ska ses som fristående undersökningar med det uttalade syftet att skatta utvecklingen av hastigheter (via ett index) för fordonsklassen mc. Dessutom skattas utvecklingen mellan åren 2012, 2013 och 2014 avseende andelen hastighetsöverträdare och andelen med mer än 5 km/tim i överträdelse (också med ett index).
