La inserción laboral de las mujeres españolas continúa siendo hoy día un reto en el ámbito de nuestra sociedad. Si bien las instituciones internacionales están, aparentemente, focalizándose en promover actividades, tanto en el ámbito de lo público como de lo privado, para mitigar la problemática de las desigualdades existentes en función del sexo en el mercado del trabajo, así como en la misma sociedad, estas desigualdades siguen condicionadas por diversos estereotipos que suponen, en muchas ocasiones, un obstáculo para el sexo femenino.
\nEn este trabajo, se desarrolla un análisis descriptivo de las particularidades del mercado laboral español desde una perspectiva de género. Se aborda el periodo correspondiente al intervalo de los años 2005 y 2015, con el fin de estudiar la evolución de los diferentes factores, así como de hacer la comparativa entre las posibles “facilidades” que encuentra el sexo masculino en el mercado laboral, frente a las “dificultades” y barreras que, en diversas ocasiones, obstaculizan la actuación de la mujer en el mismo.
