Abstract
The "James Davidson" was built at Wyandotte, Michigan by the Detroit Ship Building Company in 1920. She was of 8,349 gross tons. The vessel was built for the Globe Steamship Company of Cleveland, Ohio. In 1955, she was sold to the Tomlinson Fleet of Cleveland, Ohio. From 1971 to 1974, Columbia Transportation Company, also of Cleveland, Ohio,, owned her. She had been chartered to the company as early as 1968. Finally, she was sold to Marine Salvage of Port Colborne, Ontario for scrapping in 1974. She was eventually scrapped in Santander, Spain.
