Abstract
Cet article vise à comprendre la vague de pénalisation de la transmission sexuelle du VIH qui, depuis le tournant des années 2000, touche des pays jusque-là épargnés (notamment le Canada, la Grande-Bretagne, la France et la Belgique), à un moment où le VIH entre dans le champ des maladies chroniques grâce à des traitements antirétroviraux efficaces. Afin de saisir plus finement les articulations entre le global et le local dans le recours au droit et les mobilisations quâil entraîne, cet article propose ensuite une analyse ethnographique du procès de Huy, constituant la première condamnation pour transmission sexuelle du VIH en Belgique en 2011. Ce procès montre comment les rapports sociaux de sexe, de « race » et de classe structurent les échanges, rendant incontournable lâanalyse intersectionnelle, et comment finalement se constitue un « gouvernement des corps séropositifs » basé sur une nouvelle responsabilité sérologique.
