Abstract
This text, published in the 4th quarter 2020 issue of Marine and Oceans, provides an overview of the wealth of maritime spaces in New Caledonia. It addresses both the geological and mineral heritage and the renewable energy and biological resources. The text underlines the importance of exploring the deep sea, which is an essential foundation for knowledge and decision-making.
