El principal objeto de la investigación es determinar los procedimientos del levantamiento topográfico con estación total para garantizar el diseño geométrico de la carretera Tingo – Kuelap, Chachapoyas – Amazonas 2023. Para eso, este estudio desarrolla una investigación tipo aplicada con diseño cuasiexperimental, porque busca una mejora en el diseño geométrico a través de las dimensiones como: la planta, perfil y secciones transversales, con el objeto de garantizar un correcto diseño de la carretera. Además, se emplea un estudio cualitativo – cuantitativo y de forma transversal, debido que busca una mejora en el proceso de ejecución. Por consiguiente, con los resultados se logró reducir el volumen de corte en un 3.42% a comparación del expediente técnico, mientras que, en relleno se incrementó a un 103.59% en relación al expediente técnico. La mismas que nos permitió otorgar funcionalidad y optimización en el trazo del eje de la carretera gracias a los parámetros establecidos en el manual de carreteras DG-2018. También, se debió a los criterios y consideraciones técnicas en la etapa del levantamiento topográfico con estación total, ofreciéndonos datas de un relieve con grandes detalles que facilito el trazo del alineamiento.
