Depuis quelques mois, la mort moissonne dans les rangs les plus ho- norables, l'élite de noire société.Déjà nous avons eu à pleurer la perte de Messieurs Paul Joseph^Lacroix,Commandeur Jacques Viger, Edou'* ard-Martial Leprohojst, (l)et celle de l'Honorable Joseph Bourret.Ce n'était pas assez de quatre victimes, la mort en voulait une cinquième ; ne la trouvant point parmi nous, elle est allé la frapper sur une terre étran- gère, par un de ces coups imprévus dont Dieu se réserve le secret, et qui cependant pour tous, doivent être d'éloquents avertissements.Le 16 Mars dernier, arrivait à Mont- ïéal, la nouvelle inattendue de la mort de M.
