Abstract
Történet Szentgotthárdtól a Csendes-óceán partjáig. A szerző a Soproni Erdőmérnöki Egyetem hallgatója volt, amikor kitört a forradalom. Diáktársaival már az első hónapokban fegyvert fogott, így nem csoda, hogy hazáját 1956. november 4-én el kellett hagynia. Külföldi életútja Ausztriában kezdődött, majd Kanada menekülttáborai következtek. Tanulmányait 1957 őszén a British Columbia-i Egyetemen folytatta, ahol erdőmérnöki diplomát szerzett. Jelenleg a Vancouver-sziget keleti részén, Parksville közelében él. Az Elsodort falevelek Bölecz Béla naplói alapján íródott. Olvashatunk benne a háború kitöréséről és befejezéséről, a Rákosi-féle diktatúra összeomlásáról, az 56-os forradalom kitöréséről, az azt követő menekülésről, az emigrációs élet kezdeti nehézségeiről, majd arról, hogyan vert gyökeret az író az Újvilág kemény talajába.
