Abstract
Inspired by Gérard Genette's Paratexts: Thresholds of interpretation . Trans. Jane E. Lewin.Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1997 and because I served 2 terms on the American Library Association Notable Books CommitteeIthought that a subset of the notables might be interesting toanalyze for acknowledgements to libraries. I organized the sample by mid-decade.
