Abstract
El personal de enfermería constituye un significativo grupo laboral, que representa la mayor parte del recurso humano vinculado a las instituciones hospitalarias, integrando las acciones del equipo de salud en el cuidado del paciente y actuando en forma oportuna ante las respuestas humanas para prevenir complicaciones que ponen en peligro la vida del paciente. En consecuencia compone la columna vertebral de los servicios asistenciales. Dicho grupo presenta condiciones particulares de trabajo, representadas por la continuidad de su servicio durante las 24 horas del día y los 365 días del año. Las diferentes categorías de riesgo presentes en los sitios de trabajo son aspectos que le imprimen una connotacion especial, la cual requiere, de igual manera, un abordaje particular y participativo, entre la institución y todo el equipo de enfermería. Según datos aportados por la Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (2007), los indices relacionados con el ausentismo laboral en enfermería son mayores que en el resto de las profesiones sanitarios. La ausencia laboral por enfermedad representa un creciente problema debido a su negativo impactoeconómico y moral. El Presente Informe De Experiencia Profesional Titulado “Repercusión del cuidado de enfermería ante el ausentismo laboral del servicio de emergencia - clínica San Pablo 2012 - 2016.” tiene por finalidad describir las causas del ausentismo laboral. Asimismo, contribuirá a identificar oportunamente los motivos por el cual el personal de enfermería se ausenta causando mas carga laboral a los demás compañeros de trabajo.
