El prolapso vaginal es la salida de la vagina por fuera de la vulva. En bovinos se presenta casi al periodo final de la gestación, específicamente al tercer tercio de ésta, pudiendo ocasionarse en el pos-parto un prolapso uterino. La finalidad del trabajo consiste en: Conocer los principales factores de la patología; que son atribuidos a problemas endócrinos de los estrógenos, alimenticio y hereditario en ciertas razas cárnicas. Saber la aplicación de los posibles tratamientos quirúrgicos; el cual el más utilizado es la sutura de Bühner y preventivo; el cual esta orientado a la alimentación. El tratamiento es aplicable siempre y cuando el valor económico del animal lo justifique.
