In this post-pandemic world of work-from-everywhere, IT services are quickly changing. Still, many businesses take these services for granted, things like cloud computing, cybersecurity and network monitoring. This lack of attention can be a big mistake, sometimes even crippling company operations. In this episode of Techopia Live, Ottawa Business Journal publisher speaks with Mitchell Carkner, CEO at Decisive Group Inc.Mitchell, a Forty Under 40 recipient from 2022, has a background that includes almost a decade in the Canadian Armed Forces, many more years at IBM and a two-year stint as the CEO of Decisive Group.Decisive positions itself as a \\"digital transformation\\" partner for public and private sector organizations, specializing in IT planning, cloud storage, data centres and increasingly cybersecurity.With work-from-everywhere, Mitchell says there are more network endpoints making IT security more complicated and systems more vulnerable to \\"bad actors.\\" Decisive says hiring experts in cybersecurity is becoming more difficult, creating growth opportunities for the Ottawa-based firm, which now boasts approximately 75 employees.
