Abstract
La Psicología como una ciencia en desarrollo esta en constante búsqueda de nuevas teorías que permitan explicar la complejidad de los procesos de cognitivos, sociales y emocionales del ser humano. El objetivo del presente articulo es presentar la Teoría Operadores Constructivos (TOC) elaborada por Pascual-Leone, quien basado en sólidos argumentos epistemológicos, teóricos y metodológicos construye una propuesta descriptiva y explicativa sobre el desarrollo cognitivo; se analizan sus fundamentos epistemológicos, sus principales conceptos, el método de análisis de tarea y sus alcances. Valiosos aportes en los campos: investigativo, educativo, psicometrico y del desarrollo, son el resultado de esta propuesta teórica, que desde la solidez y la pertinencia se convierte en un aporte significativo para la investigación en el escenario de la Psicología en Colombia.
