Abstract
L'industrie forestière du Québec abandonne annuellement environ 10 millions de mètres cube de résidus forestiers sur les parterres de coupe. Les travaux de recherche ont été effectués à l'UQAC. Les travaux présentés dans ce mémoire tentent d'identifier par le truchement de l'analyse phytochimique de nouvelles substances bioactives à valoriser à même ces rejets de coupe. \n \nAu total, 11 espèces d'essences ligneuses de la forêt boréale, réparties sur deux récoltes, ont été testées pour l'activité anticancéreuse, antibiotique, antioxydante et antifongique de leurs bois. Les résultats d'analyse nous ont amené à concentrer l'effort sur le Pinus banksiana qui démontrait une très bonne réponse aux tests anticancéreux. \n \nAu cours des travaux, dix molécules comprenant entre autre des flavonoïdes (la pinobanksine ainsi que sont dérivé acétate, la pinocembrine), et des acides résiniques faydroxylé ont été isolées par diverses techniques chromatographiques, identifiées par résonance magnétique nucléaire et testées sur des cultures de cellules pour déterminer la ou les molécules responsables de l'activité anticancéreuse observée sur les extraits bruts.
