Abstract
-- \nABSTRACT : In a book entitled Les antimodernes. De Joseph de Maistre à Roland Barthes (2005), the former professor at the College de France and member of the French Academy, Antoine Compagnon, develops the concept of the antimodern in order to describe a writer who, while being caught up in the movement of modernity and constantly fascinated by it, opposes it in a virulent way. Two great authors stand out from this antimodern tradition, namely the Savoyard writer Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821) and the poet Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867). Neither entirely traditionalist nor entirely modern, these two authors wonderfully illustrate the pessimism, anti-intellectualism, romanticism, dandyism and passion for language that characterize the antimodern. If, in his work, Antoine Compagnon develop his concept with examples taken from French literature, the author of this master's thesis tries to apply it to Quebec literature. In doing so, he argues that the writer Claude-Henri Grignon (1894-1976) in his politico-literary magazine, Les Pamphlets de Valdombre (1936-1943), has an antimodern thinking and posture. By analyzing the first three volumes of the Pamphlets (1936-1939) in the light of the literary and ideological influences of Claude-Henri Grignon, the main themes of the antimodern and the critical reception of the journal, this master's thesis seeks to highlight the complex and sometimes contradictory ideas of the author of Un homme et son péché (1933). The first chapter is about literature, more precisely of Grignon's vision of literary language, romanticism and morality in art. The second chapter is about politics, since it analyzes the relationship between the writer from Saint-Adèle and the nationalist ideology of Lionel Groulx, as well as his vision of different types of political regime (democracy, fascism and monarchy) and his perception of history. Finally, the third chapter is about the style and irony of Les Pamphlets de Valdombre. Although the subject concerns Claude-Henri Grignon and his magazine, the objective of this master's thesis aims to contribute to the application and deepening of the concept of antimodernity in literary studies. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : Claude-Henri Grignon, Pamphlet, Modernity, Antimodern, Antoine Compagnon, Quebec literature.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
