En 1992, Pierre Pastré introduisait, avec sa thèse de doctorat, le concept de didactique professionnelle. L'idée selon laquelle il est nécessaire d'analyser le travail pour concevoir des formations n'était pas complètement nouvelle, en particulier chez certains rares psychologues du travail ou ergonomes. La didactique professionnelle s'est inscrite d'emblée dans le champ de la formation professionnelle, répondant à une préoccupation ancienne des formateurs, celle du lien entre le travail et la formation.Depuis, la didactique professionnelle a fait son chemin. D'autres courants théoriques ont adopté le même principe de base : l'analyse du travail et de l'apprentissage du travail comme préalables à la formation.La didactique professionnelle a fait évoluer son corpus théorique et méthodologique, elle a aussi étendu le champ des questions et objets auxquels elle a cherché à apporter des réponses.La journée du 30 janvier a pour but de revenir aux origines et à l'histoire de la didactique professionnelle pour en rappeler les éléments constitutifs, dont certains s'avèrent encore bien pertinents aujourd'hui, pour ouvrir des échanges entre jeunes chercheurs et anciens, pour envisager aussi le futur de la recherche et des pratiques pour la formation.
