Abstract
En el siguiente reporte presentamos el caso clínico de un paciente canino hembra de raza Newfoundland de 6 años con epistaxis y decaimiento. Para ello, se realizó una serie de exámenes de laboratorio con los que no se obtuvieron respuestas concluyentes, por lo que fue necesario realizar una punción de médula ósea para citología. Descartando diagnósticos diferenciales previos y de acuerdo con las características celulares medulares se pudo llegar a la conclusión de que se podría estar frente a una Trombocitopenia Inmunomediada. Ante la ausencia de un examen especifico y determinante para el diagnóstico de esta enfermedad, los diagnósticos se basan en la respuesta al tratamiento que consiste en la administración de corticoesteroides y/o fármacos inmunomoduladores. La respuesta favorable del paciente al tratamiento confirmó la presencia de la Trombocitopenia Inmunomediada.
