Este artículo reivindica el protagonismo que la \nescultura genovesa tuvo en Andalucía durante \nla época Moderna, concretamente varias obras \nde madera que fueron realizadas durante el siglo \nXVIII. Sabemos poco de ellas a nivel documental, \npero esa circunstancia no impide que \npuedan ponerse en relación con Anton Maria \nMaragliano y sus discípulos o continuadores. \nLos comentarios ofrecidos sobre cada imagen \npermiten hacer valoraciones acerca de su uso, las \ncualidades estilísticas que revelan y los modelos \nreproducidos. Además, el texto aspira a llamar la \natención sobre el poco interés que las manifestaciones \nde arte ligur han tenido en Sevilla, uno de \nlos focos creativos y mercantiles más importantes \nen la España del Antiguo Régimen.
