Abstract
Este volumen de poesía trilingüe es el resultado de un proyecto de traducción conjunto que se llevó a cabo en Canadá y Argentina. La idea de realizar este volumen de poesía trilingüe surgió en una reunión académica que tuvo lugar en la Universidad de Ottawa en agosto de 2008 en la que participaron el poeta canadiense Seymour Mayne, la traductora y poeta Sabine Huynh y la profesora y traductora María Laura Spoturno, ambas traductoras se encontraban en Ottawa realizando estancias de investigación. A lo largo de los años que siguieron a esa reunión, el poeta y las traductoras trabajaron en pos de alcanzar una versión trilingüe de la secuencia inédita de sonetos de una palabra de Seymour Mayne titulada On the Cusp. De este modo, On the Cusp/Albores/ À l’orée se presenta en inglés y francés, las dos lenguas oficiales de Canadá, y en español, la lengua oficial de Argentina.
