Abstract
A tot Catalunya sols hi ha dues esglésies antigues dedicades a Sant Segimon, i les dues curiosament estan situades al Montseny. Una és el santuari a peu de la carena de Matagalls, al municipi de Viladrau, on el sant hi va fer penitència; i l’altre és la modesta, i molt antiga, església de Sant Segimon del Bosc, situada al límit septentrional del municipi de Sant Feliu de Buixalleu. Totes dues esglésies sols disten dotze quilòmetres en línia recta, tot i que les separen la vall d’Arbúcies i la muntaya de les Agudes.
