Cette étude porte sur les moyens d'expression de l'intensité élevée dans un corpus de langue orale de jeunes Québécois. Notre objectif est de voir comment ce phénomène se manifeste dans cette variété sociolectale et de mieux comprendre le comportement des formes qui le caractérisent à l'oral. \n \nÀ côté des moyens traditionnels partagés par le français standard et le français québécois, nous retrouvons des procédés moins conventionnels qui appartiennent avant tout au langage familier. Notre intérêt s'est particulièrement porté sur les formes plus typiquement associées au français québécois. Parmi celles-ci, nous retenons particulièrement les variantes des formes adverbiales standard telles les ben, les benben, les don ben, les ben raide...; les locutions prépositionnelles à l'os, au boute, au fond..., les préfixes intensifs archi, hyper, super...; les adjectifs à valeur adverbiale rare, raide, de même que les adjectifs méchant, maudit, éc?urant qui, en québécois, caractérisent bien le phénomène de l'intensification par la qualification; et enfin, mais non le moindre, l'emprunt à l'anglais full. On a également relevé un usage important des sacres et des jurons utilisés comme intensifs Les hostie, les maudit, les taber, les sacrament, les ostiche... sont régulièrement exploités par les jeunes et viennent pimenter leurs expressions. \n \nOn est ainsi à même de découvrir la vitalité de la langue québécoise et l'usage que font les jeunes de toutes ces formes dans leur langage spontané. Cette étude illustre bien la force et l'originalité de ce phénomène dans le langage des jeunes Québécois d'aujourd'hui. \n
