Abstract
Estudi de la transició terminològica entre els conceptes tenorista, mestre de cant i mestre de capella atenent a les funcions que assumia el director de la capella musical en relació amb l'entonació i la conducció del cant pla abans de la fundació estatutària de la capella de música i incidint en les dades conservades sobre els magisteris dels mestres de la catedral de Barcelona en el decurs dels segles xv i xvi. D'altra banda, el treball analitza les particularitats de les obligacions i servituds de l'ofici de mestre de cant partint de la documentació conservada al respecte a l'Arxiu de la Catedral de Barcelona.
