Estatus epilèptic. Revisió clínica i epidemiològica dels casos d'estatus atesos a l'Hospital de Sabadell

Abstract
El treball és una revisió retrospectiva de 70 casos d'estatus epilèptics atesos a l'Hospital de Sabadell durant 5 anys. Les variables revisades han estat: edat, sexe, antecedents neurològics, història d'epilèpsia, tipus d'estatus, etiologia, durada, tractament, exploracions complementàries, reincidència i mortalitat. Després de comparar les dades obtingudes amb les publicades als grans estudis poblacionals hem observat que coincideixen en molts aspectes: incidència bimodal, predomini del estatus parcial, etiologia majoritària aguda simptomàtica, causes desencadenants i percentatges de reincidència i mortalitat. En canvi hi ha algunes diferencies com major proporció d'antecedents d'epilèpsia, major durada de l'estatus i diferències en els tractaments utilitzats.
