Abstract
Semiotics is a science that examines signs that can be in the form of images or words. Song lyrics are one of the literary works that have the same density level as poetry, which aims to describe the ideas, ideas, or messages the author wants to convey, just like the song lyrics in the Mantra-Mantra album by Kunto Aji. Based on this, the formulation of the problem in this study is (1) how the meaning contained in the nine song lyrics in the Mantra-Mantra album by Kunto Aji, (2) How is the description of the Quarter Life Crisis problem contained in the nine song lyrics in the Mantra-Mantra album by Kunto Aji. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data sources in this study are nine texts of song lyrics in the Mantra-Mantra album by Kunto Aji by observe to data quotes from song lyrics through several steps, namely (1) data collection, (2 ) data selection, (3) data exposure, (4) conclusion. \nFrom the results of the analysis and discussion, it is concluded that the song lyrics in the Mantra-Mantra album which were analyzed based on the semiotic signifier and signified of Ferdinand De Saussure about the emergence of fear of overcoming dreams and hopes, about competition in fighting for a career and work, the emergence of a sense of failure in achieving the desired dream, indecision in determining the way of life, interpersonal relationship problems experienced by millennials problems in overcoming a sense of loneliness, and problems in loving self. This study also found three problem areas for the Quarter Life Crisis in the Mantra-Mantra album which were motivated by the emergence of feelings of being trapped and the urge to change the situation in the problem area, the problem of dreams and hopes in the lyrics of the song "Rancang Rencana, Jakarta Jakarta dan Rehat" , problem areas regarding work and career in the lyrics of the song "Konon Katanya", and problem areas of relations, love and family in the lyrics of the song "Topik Semalam, Pilu Membiru, Saudade, Sulung and Bungsu"
