Abstract
"O objetivo deste estudo é verificar as qualidades métricas da ETA-20 (Escala Toronto de Alexitimia-20) comestudantes universitários brasileiros comparando-as com os resultados de outros países. A amostra constitui-sede 489 estudantes de ambos os sexos e com idades variando de 16 a 51 anos, do ensino superior, da redeprivada. O índice Alpha de Cronbach obtido (=0,765) para a escala total, com foi comparável com as outrasamostras dos outros estudos (que variaram de 0,68 a 0,84). Os resultados de adequação ao modelo tridimensionalpara a amostra brasileira (2/gl=3,67; GFI=0,881; AGFI=0,851; RMSEA=0,074) são equivalentes àqueles apre-sentados em estudos de outros países. Os resultados indicam que o modelo original tri-dimensional pode serreplicado e transposto para a cultura brasileira"
