Abstract
•\tLe risque de vivre dans l’insécurité alimentaire à Montréal et à Laval est particulièrement important pour les personnes âgées, notamment celles qui ne peuvent plus conduire d’automobile. \n•\tNotre étude par entrevues auprès de 61 personnes âgées démontre que les habitudes d’achat d’aliments sont fortement liées au mode de transport utilisé. \n•\tLes automobilistes et les acheteurs en ligne sont plus souvent de grands planificateurs, achètent en grande quantité et recherchent les soldes. \n•\tLes usagers du transport en commun et de la marche valorisent l’exercice physique et la socialisation qui vient avec le déplacement vers l’épicerie. Leurs achats se font au jour le jour et en petites quantités. \n•\tLes automobilistes constituent un fort marché potentiel pour le magasinage en ligne étant donné les similitudes dans les pratiques des deux groupes. \n•\tLa livraison à domicile après achat sur place peut permettre de maintenir des déplacements actifs tout en évitant le fardeau de porter les achats au retour.
