Au Québec, les modalités d'intervention pour les enfants et adolescents autistes varient considérablement d'un milieu scolaire à l'autre. La présente étude a pour but de fournir, à deux écoles, une évaluation sommaire de leur programme. L'évaluation comprend trois volets. Le premier consiste en une préévaluation des programmes, le deuxième en une étude de suivi des élèves et le troisième en une étude de réputation basée sur les opinions et perceptions des parents. Les sujets, 11 provenant du milieu I et 16 provenant du milieu II sont en majorité autistes ou présentent des troubles sévères du développement. Les résultats révèlent que les programmes sont appliqués de manière satisfaisante, que les élèves progressent dans la bonne direction et que les parents sont généralement très satisfaits du fonctionnement et des résultats du modèle éducationnel appliqué à l'école de leur enfant. Les contributions et les limites de l'études sont discutées et des pistes de recherche sont suggérées.
