Cette etude a pour but d'examiner la pratique de l'implication parentale dans l'apprentissage du francais telle que proposee par La methode Claire (Chenier, 1993). Le premier chapitre presente La methode Claire sous les deux volets de la lecture et de l'ecriture inseres dans un programme qui touche les divers domaines de l'apprentissage de la langue francaise et qui implique les parents, surtout par le biais des devoirs. Le deuxieme chapitre examine les mouvements politiques, economiques et sociaux qui supportent l'implication des parents dans l'apprentissage. Le troisieme chapitre presente les resultats d'une recherche qualitative qui explore jusqu'a quel point La methode Claire rejoint ses objectifs dans la pratique. Enfin, le quatrieme chapitre discute de ces donnees theoriques et empiriques en mettant en evidence que La methode Claire pour l'apprentissage du francais s'exerce sur trois fronts qui ont une influence mutuelle incontestable.
