Health Canada has notified Monsanto Canada Inc. that it\nhas no objection to the food use of Improved Fatty Acid\nProfile Soybean MON 87705. The Department conducted\na comprehensive assessment of this variety according to\nits Guidelines for the Safety Assessment of Novel Foods. These\nGuidelines are based upon internationally accepted\nprinciples for establishing the safety of foods with novel\ntraits.\nThe following provides a summary of the notification\nfrom Monsanto Canada Inc. and the evaluation by Heath\nCanada and contains no confidential business\ninformation.
