Выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена анализу степени воздействия американского капитала на формирование внешней политики Канады. Исследуется динамика потоков американских прямых инвестиций в канадскую экономику в период со второй половины XX в. до наших дней. Делается вывод, что США, доля которых составляет почти половину от общего объема иностранных прямых инвестиций в Канаде, прибегают к манипуляции своими инвестиционными потоками на канадский рынок, чтобы оказать давление на канадское правительство в решении межгосударственных политических вопросов. Анализ показал, что доля американского капитала в последнее десятилетие имеет тенденцию к сокращению, что объясняется как воздействием внешних изменений, так и естественными процессами. Несмотря на попытки Оттавы диверсифицировать инвесторов, США все так же остается ее главным инвестиционным партнером.
