Abstract
Dans cette thèse de maîtrise, l’auteure désire répondre à la question de recherche suivante : Comment s’articulent les représentations de la bisexualité, les attitudes face à la bisexualité, l’identité sexuelle et le vécu sexuel des individus? Afin de répondre à la question, quinze jeunes adultes ont été interviewés. À la lumière des entretiens, trois constats principaux ressortent des données. Tout d’abord, chez la plupart des individus, on note une dissonance entre l’identité sexuelle adoptée par le participant et son vécu sexuel. Deuxièmement, la majorité des jeunes interviewés adopte une identité monosexuelle et ce, malgré un vécu sexuel qui n’est généralement pas entièrement monosexuel, ce qui peut être expliqué par les attitudes monosexistes dont témoignent plusieurs jeunes. Finalement, le sexe de la personne qui a des pratiques, sentiments et/ou désirs bisexuels influence la façon dont les participants jugent cet individu.
