Abstract
El 24 de junio de 1967 se inauguró en el Museo Arqueológico Nacional una exposición sobre la «Colección de Antigüedades Ibicencas Sáinz de la Cuesta». La muestra se organizó en un momento clave para la arqueología fenicio-púnica en España, pues la disciplina se encontraba en pleno auge tras diversos hallazgos arqueológicos sucedidos en el sureste de la península ibérica. En las próximas páginas se pretende analizar el discurso expositivo de dicha exposición con el propósito de conocer cómo se plasmó, en los años sesenta del siglo XX, la presencia púnica en Ibiza a través de su materialidad. Dentro de la exposición tuvo un protagonismo especial un conjunto de terracotas procedentes de los yacimientos de Puig des Molins, Illa Plana, Puig d’en Valls, Talamanca y Es Culleram, muchas de estas piezas conocidas desde principios del siglo xx por los trabajos de la Sociedad Arqueológica Ebusitana. La exposición marcó un punto de inflexión en el estudio de las terracotas púnicas de Ibiza, imprescindibles para conocer el impacto púnico en las denominadas Islas Pitiusas.
