Abstract
p Dès 1648, on concède aux colons français des terres à défricher autour d'un bourg dit « réserve de ville ».Un réseau de chemins et de sentiers dessert l'ensemble.Le chemin le plus important longe la commune fondée en 1651 en bordure du fleuve.En 1672, le supérieur de Saint-Sulpice, François Dollier de Casson, crée une véritable trame de rues à partir de cette base.Une église, dont il subsiste des vestiges, est au cœur du plan.La ruelle Chagouamigon, apparue dans les années 1670, et la place du marché -plus tard nommée Royale -, témoignent par ailleurs des lieux de rencontre avec les Amérindiens qui, pourvoyeurs de fourrures, viennent en ville mais ne s'y établissent pas.Chemins et sentiers créés entre 1642 et 1672 Trame consolidée en 1672
