Le témoignage sur l'homophobie chez les personnes LGBTQI+ montréalaises

Abstract
L’utilisation accrue des médias sociaux a permis d’éclairer le phénomène du témoignage public, notamment par la dénonciation d’agressions sexuelles par l’utilisation de mots-clics comme #agressionnondenoncee ou #metoo. Or, le fait de témoigner précède l’avènement des réseaux sociaux, et touche de nombreux aspects de la société. La présente recherche a pour objectif d’identifier, de situer et de comprendre les contextes du témoignage sur l’homophobie chez les personnes LGBTQI+ montréalaises. Pour se faire, nous avons construit un corpus à partir d’articles de journaux québécois francophones et réalisé une série d’entretiens semi-dirigés. Notre analyse mobilise à la fois l’interactionnisme symbolique ainsi que les approches LGB et queer. Nous pouvons alors comprendre comment le témoignage se construit dans le contexte LGBTQI+ montréalais. Nous concluons que les contextes ainsi que les motivations du témoignage sont pluriels, à la fois publics et privés. Notre conclusion présente à la fois les limites de notre recherche ainsi que des pistes de recherche future afin de mieux cerner certains points aveugles que nous avons pu identifier. _____________________________________________________________________________ MOTS-CLÉS DE L’AUTEUR : homophobie, témoignage, interactionnisme symbolique, LGBTQI+
