Abstract
Cette monographie présente la lutte en faveur du Jardin zoologique du Québec (JZQ). La lutte est menée par deux coalitions : la coalition contre la fermeture du JZQ et la coalition pour sa réouverture, SOS Zoo, la seconde découlant des cendres de la première. Cette lutte a connu une période très active (au temps de la coalition contre la fermeture) et une période relativement moins active (lors de la coalition pour sa réouverture). La coalition contre la fermeture du JZQ a débuté en novembre 2005 et a pris fin en mars 2006. Elle avait pour but d'empêcher la fermeture de l'institution. Ce but n'a pas été atteint et cette coalition a été dissoute avec l'entrée en vigueur de la décision de fermer le zoo. La coalition SOS Zoo a émergé en mai 2006 et était encore en activité au début de 2007, période où j'ai fini de rédiger cette monographie. Cette monographie s'arrête donc à cette étape de parcours bien que la lutte continue son chemin.
