Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

\nABSTRACT : Employer branding is a crucial tool for employers to recruit and retain the best talent on the job market. It is also a means of fostering employee engagement, consistent with the mission, vision and goals of the organization. The concept of employer branding is based on a theoretical conceptualization that relies on a joint assessment of two dimensions: instrumental and symbolic characteristics. Job advertisements are one of the channels through which recruiting organizations can disseminate their employer brand attributes in order to attract potential candidates and stimulate application. The main objective of this study is to examine and analyze the content of job postings in the aerospace industry in Quebec from an employer brand perspective. This study relies on a qualitative approach based on documentary analysis. A total of 105 job offers published on various job boards between November and December 2022 were examined. The results show that the organizations studied place greater importance on the tangible instrumental dimensions of the employer brand, such as organizational and job attributes, than on its intangible symbolic dimension. Companies of various sizes, located in different cities, and for all types of positions include instrumental attributes more than symbolic attributes in their job advertisements. Job location, compensation, and working conditions are among the most frequently identified organizational and job attributes. The results of this study provide both scientific and managerial contributions. Avenues for future research are also highlighted. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : Employer brand; organizational attraction; instrumental attributes; symbolic attributes; job postings; recruitment; content analysis; aerospace industry.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
