Abstract
Le Canada connaît un différend territorial avec les États-Unis au sujet du passage du Nord-Ouest. Le Canada considère en effet que les eaux du passage sont des eaux intérieures alors que les États-Unis affirment que le passage est un détroit international. Cet article analyse ainsi les enjeux derrière ces revendications canadiennes, c’est-à-dire l’identité, la sécurité, l’environnement ainsi que les intérêts commerciaux et économiques.
