Abstract
Le taux d'incidence de separation des couples etant eleve dans la societe d'aujourd'hui, les ecoles se retrouvent souvent avec des enfants dont la vie est bouleversee par ce phenomene. Maintes etudes revelent que la separation des parents se repercute chez les enfants dans au moins trois domaines: affectif, social et cognitif. Sur le plan affectif, certains enfants ressentiront, entre autres, la colere, la tristesse, la culpabilite ou l'abandon. Socialement, les enfants peuvent avoir tendance, a s'isoler des autres, a devenir agressifs ou, encore, a etre tres dissipes en classe. La separation peut aussi affecter les enfants sur le plan cognitif. Ceux-ci peuvent avoir de la difficulte a se concentrer en classe, a gerer leur colere ou meme a prendre des decisions. Certains de ces effets sont a court terme mais plusieurs le sont a long terme. Il importe donc d'intervenir afin d'aider les enfants a prendre en charge tous les bouleversements qui resultent d'une separation. La presente etude vise a evaluer les effets d'une intervention de groupe aupres de dix enfants de neuf a onze ans qui frequentent une ecole urbaine franco-manitobaine. (Abstract shortened by UMI.)
