La traduction en français de Kay’s Lucky Coin Variety, d’Ann Y. K. Choi, et la production littéraire de la diaspora coréenne au Canada

Abstract
Ce mémoire se décline en deux parties : dans un premier temps, une recherche sur la production littéraire de la diaspora coréenne au Canada et une analyse de Kay’s Lucky Coin Variety, premier roman de l’écrivaine canadienne coréenne Ann Yu-Kyung Choi publié en 2016 chez Simon & Schuster, visant à déterminer la pertinence de sa traduction en français, ainsi qu’un commentaire sur les difficultés posées par la traduction elle-même ; puis, dans un second temps, la traduction de la première partie du roman. Le corpus des œuvres d’auteurs coréo-canadiens étudié dans la recherche est analysé selon l’année de publication, le type d’ouvrage ainsi que les sujets et thèmes abordés. Le commentaire de traduction porte notamment sur les réalités socioculturelles et linguistiques de la Corée, où est abordée la notion de troisième langue, ici le coréen, proposée par Antoine Berman dans La traduction et la lettre ou l’auberge du lointain.
