Abstract
La compréhension actuelle de l'état comateux est très limitée. La technique des potentiels évoqués s'est démontrée des plus prometteuses en vue de l'élaboration du pronostic des patients en coma. La MMN, une onde cognitive auditive, est perçue comme reflétant un processus automatique de sélection dans le cortex auditif primaire, pouvant être enregistrée sans que le sujet porte attention au stimulus. Quelques études ont rapportées que la présence d'une MMN chez les patients comateux est un facteur de pronostic favorable. Ce mémoire vise à répliquer les résultats des études antérieures, avec un contrôle optimal des paramètres d'enregistrements, sur un échantillon composé de 16 enregistrements provenant de patients ayant subi un traumatisme craniocérébral (TCC) modéré à sévère à différents niveaux de conscience. Les conclusions soulèvent l'intérêt de la MMN pour la validation du niveau conscience des patients et l'évaluation du traitement cognitif dans le cortex auditif durant les différents états de conscience.
