Abstract
Con el dedo índice entre los labios, Danielito nos pidió silencio. Después, \ncomenzó a hablar muy quedo. Transcurridos cuatro meses y medio de trabajo de \ncampo sobre el culto de posesión de María Lionza, tras haber escuchado hablar \nrepetidamente acerca de la epidemia de espiritzu malandros en las ceremonias espiritistas, \nDor fin me encontraba cara a cara con uno de ellos. El espíritu Danielito acababa de entrar en el \ncuerpo de Johan, una joven materia (médium) de la iudad venezolana de Valencia. Era va muv tarde por la noche en la montatía de Sorte, el principal centro de pereerinación del culto eswiritista de María Lionza, situado en el Estado de Yaracuy.
