Montebelluna è una cittadina veneta, a pochi chilometri da Treviso, contraddistinta da un sistema di canali artificiali che sin dai tempi antichi ne assicura l’approvvigionamento idrico. Questa rete preleva l’acqua dal vicino Piave, a nord della città, per servire nuclei abitati e poderi. Il canale Brentella è uno dei corsi d’acqua che lambisce l’edificato sud della città. Lungo le sue sponde, che molti vorrebbero fossero trasformate in un parco fluviale, nel 2015 si inaugura il Liceo Primo Levi. A firmare il progetto è l’architetto Mauro Galantino, a seguito di gara con offerta tecnico-economica.
